My husband and I have been loyal customers since the beginning of Thatcher Barbecue Company. We drive 45 minutes one way just to eat here because NOWHERE else comes close to the deliciousness of their food. Thatcher BBQ sauce is in my dreams at least once a month. We’ve never been disappointed with anything we’ve tried there. We’ve checked out a couple of live shows at Pit House and they were super fun as well! 10/10 recommend this place if you’re in the area, or even if you’re not.
Beautiful place to eat. Staff was beyond nice and kept checking on us during our meal. Good prices for alot of food! Me n my daughter didn't eat it all and they gave us good big boxes to take food home. Highly recommend!

Excellent place! We drove 3.5 hours, just to check this place out. Food was fantastic and was served quick! We barely had taken our seats before our food was being served. Price was very reasonable and portion size was just perfect. Shout out to April, our amazing server! She was super friendly and courteous. Very helpful as we asked about the local tourism spots. April, if you read this, your new friends from Virginia will definitely be making the trip to eat here again!
We visited the Red River Gorge area for 4 days and this was the BEST food we had the entire time. Ordered takeout. Quality and taste of the smoke meats were top notch. Only item I didn’t like and is one of my favorites was the banana pudding. Would reorder everything else. If you appreciate good BBQ, you’ll like Thatchers!
I went to this BBQ restaurant with my wife and some family friends with their children after going to see the natural bridge close by, we all had something different but I had the Ribs with some sides and they were delicious, my wife had the chicken and she loved it, the kids had the pulled pork and their plats were left empty, so we were all very happy with the food. This looks to be a very popular place and kept very clean. the food is very tasty and the staff were very friendly.
Hidden near the Red River Gorge, Thatcher was the place of choice after visiting the NADA Tunnel. Upon entry, I was impressed with Decor and pleasant greeting. Large Menu selection was narrowed down to the Brisket Sandwich with Beans and a Soda. Brisket was tender and sliced just right. Paired with Thatcher's Secret Sauce IT WAS Phenomenal! I want to thank Thatcher Barbecue Staff for their Professionalism and generosity. I would recommend Thatcher Barbecue for future visits and to family & friends.
